FBM KLCI - turned bullish
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed broadly higher last Friday, the last trading day for the choppy month of October, as upbeat sentiment from Wall Street’s overnight gains drove Bursa Malaysia to close higher, with all indices recording positive movement. The FBMKLCI ended 12.37 points or 0.67% higher at an intraday high of 1,855.15, after touching an intraday low of 1,842.17. On a weekly basis, the key index gained 36.29 points from previous Friday’s 1,818.86. Market breadth was very positive with gainers outpacing losers by 663 to 248, while 275 counters were unchanged. Total volume rose to 2.75 billion shares valued at RM2.4 billion from 1.87 billion shares valued at RM2.15 billion on Thursday. Weekly turnover soared to 10.51 billion shares worth RM10.31 billion from previous week’s 6.76 billion shares worth RM7.37 billion. Read more >>
