investors remained sidelined, awaiting fresh leads from the ongoing European
debt crisis, and the outcome of a meeting of central bankers and economists,
including US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke, at Jackson
Hole, Wyoming in the US later this
week. The FBM KLCI fell 1.52 points or 0.09% to close at 1,645.58 after opening
0.47 of a point better at 1,647.58. Losers led gainers by 363 to 352, while 368

FBM KLCI - lower on continued profit-taking
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended on an easier note yesterday, in
line with regional stock markets as concern over the European debt crisis grew
further, as investors were concerned about market talk that the crisis could
move to Germany.
The FBM KLCI fell 1.02 points or 0.06% to close at 1,647.11, despite opening
0.11 of a point better at 1,648.24. Losers led gainers by 460 to 276, while 357

FBM KLCI - marginally lower in quiet trade

FBM KLCI - downside risk increases
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended last Friday on an easier note amid economic growth concerns both locally and in the region, with the FBM KLCI settling below the 1,650 level. The benchmark index fell 3.39 points or 0.21% to close at 1,648.22, after opening 0.30 of a point better at 1,652. On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the key index lost 1.25 points from previous Friday’s closing of 1,649.47. Losers led gainers by 434 to 322, while 331 counters were unchanged. FBM KLCI - marginally lower on profit-taking
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended easier yesterday as key blue-chip
counters struggled to find a footing, unlike the uptrend in the regional
markets which were lifted on hopes of more monetary stimulus plan in the United States.
The FBM KLCI closed 0.64 of a point easier at 1,651.61, after hovering between

FBM KLCI - sign of uncertainty
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed
mixed yesterday after a two-day break, with the benchmark FBM KLCI erasing
gains after rising to a new high of 1,655.39 in morning trading. Overall there
was less activity as investors are still away on holiday after the Hari Raya
festival. The FBM KLCI finished 2.46 points better at 1,652.25 after opening
2.43 points higher at 1,652.22 and fluctuated between 1,649.59 and 1,655.39

FBM KLCI - likely to consolidate

FBM KLCI - at its best...

FBM KLCI - poised to move higher
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia
rebounded to close higher last Friday due to eleventh hour buying of selected heavyweights
ahead of the weekend. Positive local sentiment, as opposed to the weaker
European market and a string of good corporate results which has started to
come in, may have driven the rally. The FBM KLCI ended 2.84 points or 0.17% better
at the day’s high of 1,645.36, which surpassed the all-time high closing of
1,645 registered on 18th July 2012 by 0.36 of a point; and
week-on-week, the benchmark index gained 10.32 points, or 0.6% from previous

FBM KLCI - higher on follow through buying

FBM KLCI - lower on heavy profit-taking
Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended
lower yesterday on selling pressure across the heavyweights after recent gains.
Mining, small-capitalised and fledgling counters recorded gains, while the palm
oil plantation sector, the biggest loser, fell 158.979 points. Regionally, most
