Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed higher yesterday on strong buying support from local institutions, amid positive sentiment across the region as regional markets were positive following the Japanese share market, which appeared to be stabilising after recent losses. The FBM KLCI, rose 9.03 points or 0.51% to close at 1,776.16, after hovering between 1,765.94 and 1,779.64 throughout the day. Market breadth was positive with gainers led losers by 633 to 239 while 244 counters were unchanged.
