FBM KLCI - surged to 4-month high on US rate cut hopes

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended higher Wednesday with the benchmark FBMKLCI extended its winning streak to seven consecutive sessions, closing at a four-month high, driven by the US’s July inflation data that came in slightly below expectations at 2.7%, boosting hopes of a Federal Reserve rate cut in September.
