Stocks on Bursa Malaysia remained in the red at close yesterday as investors continued to reduce their holdings, particularly in heavyweights and on the back of bearish market sentiment. The FBM KLCI declined 5.86 points or 0.36% to 1,615.07, dragged down by losses mostly seen in Genting, which lost 14 sen to RM9.64 and contributed 0.972 of a point to the drop in the benchmark index. The FBM KLCI, which opened at 1,622.17, hovered between 1,612.66 and 1,623.72 throughout the trading session. Losers outnumbered gainers by 435 to 211 with 280 counters unchanged. Trading was moderate with total turnover rising to 884.415 million shares valued at RM1.17 billion, compared to Monday's close of 765.343 million shares worth RM929.716 million. ...Read more>>
