FBM KLCI - turning bullish

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed on a bullish note yesterday amid an improved global sentiment following the positive overnight performance on Wall Street. The FBMKLCI finished 10.41 points or 0.56% higher at 1,872.16 after opening 1.22 points firmer at 1,862.97 and moved between 1,862.49 and 1,872.49 points throughout the day. Gainers outnumbered losers by 456 to 439 while 306 counters were unchanged. The market volume, bolstered by gains in selected heavyweights and finance-linked counters, was also buoyant with over five billion shares transacted on persistent buying interest in lower-liners, ACE and penny stocks. Total volume soared to 5.112 billion units worth RM2.913 billion from 3.58 billion units worth RM2.47 billion on Monday. Read more>>
