Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed lower yesterday led by losses in Petronas Gas amid the lacklustre trading of index-linked counters as the local stock market failed to take cue from the firmer Asian markets after the overnight Wall Street closed at a record high. The FBMKLCI fell 8.87 points or 0.49% to close at 1,816.24 after hovering between 1,816.24 and 1,824.83 throughout the day. Losers outpaced gainers by 510 to 265, with 322 counters unchanged. Total volume decreased to 1.69 billion shares worth RM1.81 billion from 2.25 billion shares worth RM1.86 billion on Tuesday. Read more >>
