Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended lower yesterday on selling by foreign institutional funds, dragging the FBM KLCI to below the 1,600 level. The local bourse was under pressure the whole day as foreign investors shifted their interest to the on-form regional and major markets. Asian stock markets rose yesterday after the European Union reached an agreement on how to reduce Greece’s debt load. The FBM KLCI fell 9.71 points or 0.6% to 1,598.17, after opening 1.24 points lower at 1,606.64 and it moved between 1,596.58 and 1,606.88. Losers outgunned gainers by 565 to 188, while 304 counters were unchanged.
