Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended lower yesterday on selling pressure despite the gains on regional markets and overnight on Wall Street. Major US equity indices rose between 0.2% and 0.4% amid better economic data and an easing of geopolitical tension in Gaza (Palestine). However, local market sentiment remained weak as investors stayed on the sidelines awaiting a clear direction, besides closely monitoring developments in Europe. The FBM KLCI fell 4.42 points or 0.27% to close at its lowest level of 1,618.55, after opening at 1,621.22. Losers led gainers by 384 to 219, while 356 counters were unchanged.
