FBM KLCI - higher on late buying support

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended in positive territory yesterday on last-minute buying in select heavyweights. The FBM KLCI rose 2.18 points or 0.13% to close at 1,671.58 compared with Monday's 1,669.40. The benchmark index, which opened at 1,669.50, moved between 1,665.83 and 1,673.19 throughout the trading session. Gainers outnumbered losers by 324 to 296 while 314 counters were flat. Total volume fell to 598.845 million shares valued at RM703.926 million from 620.098 million shares valued at RM801.176 million on Monday.
