Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed on a positive note Monday on active window-dressing activities by fund managers, despite the one-day Christmas break on Tuesday. Petronas Gas emerged as the main contributor to the FBM KLCI rise with 2.216 points. The barometer index closed 10.55 points or 0.64% higher at 1,669.40 after opening 3.97 points higher at 1,662.82, and moved between 1,659.86 and 1,674.49. Losers led gainers by 279 to 324 while 330 counters were unchanged. Trading was mild with total volume declined to 620.098 million shares worth RM801.176 million, compared to Friday's 699.963 million shares valued at RM1.204 billion. ...Read more>>
