Stocks on Bursa Malaysia ended on a firm note yesterday with the FBMKLCI continued its ascend for a second day to hit fresh record high ahead of the Budget 2014 announcement today as the market expects to see the Government taking steps to tackle the country's fiscal deficits. The FBM KLCI finished 4.82 points or 0.27% higher at 1,181.93 after opening 4.64 points higher at 1,818.75 and hovered between 1,817.41 and 1,822.17. Losers led gainers by 420 to 345, with 322 counters unchanged. Total volume slipped to 1.52 billion shares valued at RM1.657 billion from 1.711 billion shares valued at RM2.123 billion on Wednesday. ...Read more>>
