FBM KLCI - likely to stay range-bound

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed higher last Friday, bolstered by gains in heavyweight blue-chips and improved sentiments amid positive local corporate news. The FBM KLCI gained 5.19 points or 0.29% to 1,776.56 after hovering between 1,769.77 and 1,779.02 throughout the day. On a weekly basis, the benchmark index gained 0.4 of a point from previous Friday's 1,776.16. Advancers led decliners by 345 to 344, with 352 counters unchanged. Turnover fell to 1.58 billion shares worth RM1.44 billion from 1.84 billion shares worth RM1.29 billion recorded on Thursday.
