Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed on a positive note yesterday, boosted by continued gains on selected heavyweights. However, most blue-chips were off their day’s best on mild profit taking after the initial exuberance from the last-ditch US budget deal fizzled out. The FBM KLCI gained 6.05 points or 0.34% to close at 1,797.42 after hovering between 1,796.1 and 1,802.57 points throughout the day.
