Stocks on Bursa Malaysia extended their losses to close lower yesterday on continuous selling by foreign investors, in response to the US Federal Reserve’s recent announcement to taper its aggressive bond-buying programme. The FBM KLCI finished the day at 1,832.86, down 5.17 points or 0.28% from Friday's close after hovering between 1,829.22 and 1,840.17. Market breadth was negative with 456 losers against 293 gainers, while 311 were unchanged.
