FBM KLCI - closing at new record high

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed significantly higher yesterday boosted by persistent buying of blue-chips and heavyweight counters as continued bullish sentiment among investors helped the local bourse remain in the positive territory. The FBM KLCI rose 10.44 points or 0.61% to end at 1,710.97, a fresh record high closing, after fluctuating between 1,701.85 and 1,712.14 throughout the day, with Tenaga Nasional Bhd contributing the biggest rise of 3.107 points. Gainers thumped losers by 530 to 228, with 293 counters unchanged. Volume improved to 986.98 million shares, worth RM2.198 billion, from Tuesday's 762.91 million shares valued at RM1.463 billion. ...Read more>>
