FBM KLCI - consolidation mode with a downward bias

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed broadly lower yesterday, in quiet trading, amid weak regional sentiment with prices moving sideways as investors await the release of some corporate results. The FBM KLCI shed 0.76 of a point or 0.04% to end the day at 1,697.77. The barometer index fluctuated between a narrow range of 1,696.95 and 1,702.88 throughout the day. Losers overwhelmed gainers by 519 to 199, with 263 counters unchanged. Turnover decreased to 881.614 million shares, worth RM1.438 billion, from 1.091 billion shares, valued at RM1.724 billion, last Friday. ...Read more>>
