Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed lower yesterday weighed by concerns over external sentiment after weak manufacturing data from China, as a preliminary survey of manufacturing activity in April in the world’s second largest economy has stoked fears that global economic growth will remain sluggish in the second quarter. The FBM KLCI fell 6.29 points or 0.37% to close at 1,700.39 after hovering between 1,699.74 and 1,707.85 on a downtrend trading session. Losers led gainers by 470 to 202, with 280 counters unchanged.
