FBM KLCI - likely to stay in consolidation ahead of FIFA worldcup

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed lower last Friday as investors trimmed their positions ahead of the weekend amid lack of bullish catalysts and ahead of US jobs report. The FBMKLCI finished 6.3 points or 0.34% lower at 1,862.7 after fluctuating between 1,870.61 and 1,860.2 throughout the day. On a weekly basis, the key index lost 10.68 points or 0.6% from previous Friday’s 1,873.38. Losers led gainers by 397 to 321, with 356 counters unchanged. Volume declined to 1.27 billion shares worth RM1.4 billion from 1.49 billion shares worth RM1.86 billion transacted on Thursday. Weekly turnover fell to 6.31 billion shares worth RM8.01 billion from previous week's 7.56 billion shares worth RM13.62 billion. Read more>>
