FBM KLCI - marginally higher amid consolidation

Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed higher yesterday with the FBMKLCI ended on a high note, on the back of the government's expressed commitment to further liberalise and strengthen the economy. The benchmark index rose 0.99 of a point or 0.05% to close at 1,863.69 points, after fluctuating between 1,860.24 points and 1,868.77 points throughout the day. Losers led gainers by 401 to 321, with 327 counters unchanged. Volume decreased to 1.12 billion shares valued at RM1.24 billion from 1.27 billion shares worth RM1.4 billion on last Friday.
