Stocks on Bursa Malaysia turned higher at closing yesterday propped up by the stronger regional stock markets amid favourable external outlook. The local stock market was in the red for almost the whole day before last-minute buying lifted the market in line with the stronger regional equity market. The FBMKLCI ended 0.42 point or 0.02% higher at 1,889.97, after hovering between 1,882.25 and 1,889.87. Market breadth was negative as decliners outpaced advancers by 414 to 387, with 347 counters unchanged. Total volume fell to 1.42 billion shares worth RM1.95 billion from Wednesday’s 1.73 billion shares worth RM2.17 billion. Read more>>
