Stocks on Bursa Malaysia closed lower yesterday weighed by profit taking amid weaker regional markets and bearish external sentiments. Profit taking emerged on the local stock market as investors cashed in on gains from previous day’s record high. The benchmark FBMKLCI ended 2.78 points or 0.15% lower at 1,889.55, after hovering between 1,887.68 and 1,891.64. Market breadth was negative as decliners outpaced advancers by 545 to 300, with 292 counters unchanged. Total volume fell to 1.73 billion shares worth RM2.17 billion from Tuesday’s 1.93 billion shares worth RM2.11 billion. Read more>>
